ummm, what?
i blew a fuse...it happened before, but then i just flipped the switch in the box on the wall and everything worked again.
this time...not so much! so i'm sitting in the dark. the landlord has called for backup - he said to me, in very broken english (and mostly in arabic) that the guy should be here in half an hour. to replace the fuse in the main box downstairs.
soo...i'm just sitting here...reading...and learning arabic ;)
my laptop is confused! it's running on battery power, and it got to 0% but it's still going...and so now it just says, "unknown remainging"...i heart technology
or even 'remaining'.
So, do you need us to send fuses in your care package? Did you get things up and running again?

hehe. all is well.
it seems that trying to put things that say 125 volts are not good in a country that runs on 240 volts. fortunately i only blew my own fuse and not the entire building ;) hehe. you'd think a "travel" surge protector would be made to work internationally...silly people.
i'm in the lights again! although my apartment didn't get cleaned AGAIN because it was so dark. and i ended up chatting a friends all evening. i love living in the same building as friends :)
...but you never answered the real question: how was the beach?
