Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want to settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.

the end is near

I can't believe that it's already nearing the end of March. It seems almost like yesterday that I returned to Kuwait after Christmas, to the cold, dark, sad days.

But now winter is over, spring is past, and it's turning into summer in Kuwait. We've been having a lot of sand storms lately, and although it's getting hot outside, it's not as sunny as it was when we first arrived. There's a lot of cloud and dust cover, which makes the sky brown or grey, instead of bright blue.

But it's not snowing, or raining, so I guess I really have nothing to complain about ;)

Especially since Spring Break has officially started! We had a PD day today, and tomorrow morning, bright and super early, we're heading off to Egypt. I'm very excited to see some more places where ancient history took place...but mostly the pyramids and the sphinx ;)

Unfortunately, we might have to miss the Easter sunrise service...which makes me super sad, considering it's one of my favourite church events of the entire year. Remember that year we did the Easter Church-a-rama? 7 services in one weekend? Yeah. It's my favourite.

"Christ the Lord is risen today, A-a-a-a-a-le-lu-u-ia"

We're hoping to find a sunrise service in Cairo on Sunday, but I guess we will have to see. Although we've already promised our traveling companions that we will be singing our favourite Easter hymns while riding the camels to the Pyramids ;) *insert evil laughter here*

It is our last trip before we head to Europe at the end of the school year; the next two months are going to be hard (the girls have already checked out), but...surprisingly, I'm ready for it. I'm ready for my first year to be over. God willing, it will go quickly, as the past couple months have gone. It's been really hard, and I'd like a new start. I can only try to make it as enjoyable as possible for the students (and equally painless for me!)

I have to admit that I can't wait to be on that plane back to Canada. I think it will be the most relaxing and worthwhile summers of my entire life so far, bar NONE! What an occupation ;)

So I say goodnight, as it's time to wash the hair dye out of my hair and head to bed for the 3:55am wake-up call.

I love my friends, the crazy students, and this indescribably weird place.
