I've been attending a Women's Bible study on Tuesday nights since the beginning of the year. We meet at a house a nice neighbourhood and as of last week, we were above 17 people in our cell group. Mind you, cell groups are supposed to be 4-6 people. At 17, it was more like a little church. So, our wise and fearless leader Katie (not to be confused with the shy and speechless Katie who is me) decided that it was in all of our best interests to "multiply"...which is a nicer word than "split up". We made 3 small groups out of one big one!
At first I was against this idea, thinking that I liked the people that I met with and it would be too different and well, maybe I just wouldn't go. But in the end, God separated the groups wisely, and put me with a great group of women. And I didn't have to change locations!
Tonight was our first meeting, and I'd say that it was quite the success. Being only 5 people (6 once a new member arrived, although our 7th member was at a council meeting) it was not scary to talk. We shared our histories, pretty much, which was a great way to get to know each other and break the ice, if you will. Our 7th member, Katie, who is really our first member (although no longer the fearless leader), arrived and offered to drive us home - so that she could hear our stories!
I keep forgetting that it's alright to trust God with things...because he really does make things good for those who love Him. What an awesome God. I forget but I need to remember that He's really in control. Why worry...? It'll turn out alright in the end...and if not, there'll be good stories to tell ;)
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want to settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.
