No school tomorrow and thursday! See you SUNDAY.
This is the note that I received from my principal and superintendant last night.
Last night Sheik Saad (a former Emir of Kuwait) passed away, so they've called three days of mourning; this means that everything is closed! Including schools.
If there's one thing that Kuwait does well, it's holidays. And although I wouldn't call this long weekend a "holiday" per se, as the nation is in mourning, it's still a break from work and it's like a mini gift from the old Sheik himself.
We slept in today. It was good.
Now, considering that we're heading into our last 2 weeks with the students (one week of classes/review, one week of exams), we may not have a whole lot of work left to do, but it's still nice to have a break!
Peace be upon you, Sheik Saad. And thank you!
